Team Bio

Broke (adj.)- A style of Ultimate combining attitude with skill, resulting in confident, balls-out Ultimate. Expect to see hammers, lay-out Ds, crazy grabs, and awe-inspiring throws, all while looking really good. This term originated at our home tourney Motown Throwdown and describes the essence of Clutch. The skill and leadership provided by our veterans, combined with the attitude and talent brought on by the younger generation, are what makes us broke. Girl on girl love, our motto coined by previous Captain Mary Theil, was the driving force that pushed us through this past year, earning us a spot to Nationals. While it can be taken in many contexts, what it comes down to is the love we have for each other as teammates and as individuals. It is this love that ultimately got us through the game to go, and that has left us hungry for more. Look for us on the field in the hot pink jerseys, and at the party tearing up the dance floor.
